After 18 fruitless months of searching for a venue, I've got one at long last! The next HG-LAN will be held in a scout hut in Studham, Bedfordshire.

I haven't decided when its going to be held as of yet but at the moment signs are pointing at February 2007 as that is the first Half ...

Although I know from bitter experience that this game can suck the vast majority of the attendees of your LANs in for (upwards of 14) hours at a time, does anyone want to try Civ 4 at the next LAN?

Now that the LAN is drawing close, can we agree on a time when we should all make our final connections to Steam before the LAN? I'm just a little worried that there'll be a Steam update on the night before the LAN and we'll all be out of sync.

If you're coming to the LAN, I have an MSI 875P Neo2 FISR you can buy off me. Its missing its heatsink retention bracket so you'll have to use the heatsink thats on the board at the moment but otherwise its fine

I have a spare PC that I can bring which is fairly decent (2.4GHz P4 overclocked to 3GHz, 9800SE Radeon, good enough for anything source and BF2 at medium settings). I'll bring it along for you in return for some food and alcohol
