IW messed up imo.

WW2 was a good "balanced" weapons era that seemed to work well. CoD was fantastic. CoD2 engine (netcode) was a little to be desired, and so many strange things happen. Though I mainly played because I wanted to be involved in clan games, and Q3F/ETF had all died out, and there was nothing else to play... BF1942 came and went, and there was just a lull in online gaming imo.

CoD4 doesn't (imo) feel or play right, the physics are different, the randomness of the recoil is stupid. I want DM games to shoot where I aim, adding in randomness adds luck to the game and removes skill. CS is the biggest example of that.

Quake 3 is the perfect DM game. Followed closely by QuakeWorld(Quake 1)

Yea they're fun, spesh on a LAN, I totally agree.

I was talking strict DM, pure DM, nothing but DM.

Never got into any of the quake games dunno why but then I generally prefer team based games over DM

Blue appears to be rather severely under everything right now
